I recently shot this engagement session at the Botanical Gardens. Alexa came to me and said she didn't want the typical thing, so we chatted a bit and came up with this location. It was perfect because the weather was rainy and gross. But we couldn't tell from the inside of these lush greenhouses. I'd also like to thank these two for bringing their amazing style and buying me ice cream. They know the way to my heart.
This year was my husband and I’s fifth wedding anniversary. We wanted to celebrate by having our photos taken. But on my quest for a photographer, I realized that there wasn’t anyone I wanted to hire. Not because their talent wasn’t there, but because most if not all photographers focused on portraits. There was no element of fashion in their work. I wanted to have stylish portraits made, something that I could actually print out and hang in my home. So I decided to take the photos myself. It took a lot of planning and effort, but it was definitely worth it. I’m proud of the result. And I’d like to offer the same thing to my clients moving forward: fashionable high-end portraits with their loved ones.
